Nathan Alexander, Math Buddy!

| September 15, 2010

Greetings! My name is Nathan and I will be starting my second term as a Math Buddy – so exciting! I am currently a Doctoral student in the Mathematics program at Teachers College; my research interests surround advancement and achievement of minority youth in mathematics at the elementary,  secondary and college levels. As an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at The City University of New York, I also focus on developing mathematical thinking among remedial students who have had “bad” mathematical experiences. I have an M.A. in Mathematics & Education from New York University, a bachelors degree in Mathematics from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and a certificate in Sociology Studies from the National University of Singapore. I adore Harlem and I absolutely love being a TC Math Buddy!
